Well…okay, let’s say you were hatched in the hollow of a giant tree, right? And you’d never been outside of it. And…and furthermore, you couldn’t even turn around to look out at the rest of the world…like maybe you’d gotten stuck in some sap. So then, if the sun was shining behind you, it would cast shadows of everything happening behind you, right? Onto the wall of the hollow, right? And if that was all you’d ever seen, you’d have no way to know what was actually happening. You’d think that the shadows were the real world.
